The riq includes a tuning mechanism operated by an Allen key. Two models of riq are available: one with a plastic head and one with a traditional fish skin. * Frame - 9" * Grip - 2" * Head - 8" * Weight ? 730 gr * *Various jingles' sounds are availible on a special request

The larger diameter enhances rich doum/drum sonority
The shallower depth facilitates player grip, jingle access, and jingle control
The aluminum member strengthens bright, articulated tak drum sounds and forward-balances the instrument
Cooperman recommends REMO Weatherking head for its bright, highly responsive sound. The Weatherking heads are typically scuffed to give them a slight surface texture. Alternatively, either REMO Renaissance or natural fish skin is available at the same price.
